A Very Special Invitation...

Are you a Jane Austen fan? Guess if you weren’t, you wouldn’t be here, right? Well, now that you’ve come this far, we have a very special invitation for you.
As you undoubtedly know, the road to commercial success in the theatre is long, hard, and expensive. But if you’ve listened to the sample music on this site, we think you’ll agree that we are truly on to something very exciting.
And now you can help us move this project forward. “ SENSE & SENSIBILITY The Musical” has been accepted for fiscal sponsorship by Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. This enables us to solicit tax-deductible contributions for the continuing development of the project. If you would like to be part of this exciting theatrical venture, all you have to do is click here and follow the simple instructions.
“SENSE & SENSIBILITY The Musical” has been three years in the making. Much of the material was developed in the renowned BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. When the show was presented last May as the inaugural presentation of the Berkshire Musical Theatre Workshop, the audience response was beyond enthusiastic. We learned a great deal from that experience, and we have incorporated all that good stuff into the current version of the script. Now we’re moving with all deliberate speed to get everything ready for a staged reading at Playwrights Horizons on 42nd St. in NYC on Nov. 16th. We’re also planning to make a demo recording of the show with the top-notch cast we’re assembling.
As Jane Austen might say, all of this requires a veritable surfeit of guineas and pence.
Our November presentation is coming up fast, so time is of the essence. Each and every contribution will be greatly appreciated, and, once again, all you have to do is click here.
Thank you for your interest in our project, and thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Haddow
